Current Openings 

 

Applications must be received in the Human Resources Office by close of business (5:00 p.m.) on the posted closing date.  Applications received after this time will not be considered.  Applications will be accepted for Police Recruit and Lateral Police Recruit on an on-going basis.  Police Recruit applications will be retained on file for the next Police recruitment testing date or a maximum of 1 year.  Lateral Police Officer applicants are required to submit an application along with the Sworn Background Packet for review.  For more information on the hiring process for Police Recruit or Lateral Police Officer please visit the City of Peoria Police Department Website.
